How treatment works
We remove the decay, dry the tooth and build the filling up in layers. We use a rubber dam at CZK 300 — a sheet that isolates the tooth from saliva. A dry tooth is a condition of the filling bonding properly, so it is not a token item on the bill.
Treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia, which is covered by insurance. Smaller cavities can often be treated without it.
Replacing amalgam fillings
Grey amalgam fillings can be replaced with white ones. The price is the same as for a new filling, from CZK 2,000, or from CZK 3,600 on visible teeth — removing the old filling is not charged separately.
When decay reaches the pulp, a filling is no longer enough and root canal treatment from CZK 3,000 is needed. That is why regular check-ups, which are covered by insurance, are worth keeping.
